Lakes Region Newsday

Weekdays 6AM - 9AM

Allan Harrison has been reporting and broadcasting the news in New Hampshire since 1980. He majored in broadcast journalism and political science at American University in Washington, DC. While there, he became the first college student in the nation to receive full White House press credentials. Allan learned his craft from some of the best journalists in the business.

Allan has served as news director at WLNH, WEMJ and WMRQ in the Lakes Region, as well as at WKBR in Manchester. He originally created Lakes Region Newsday over fifteen years ago at Laconia's WEMJ. When that station's owners ended local programming in 2005, Allan and Lakes Region Newsday came to WEZS.

Allan is the recipient of numerous journalism awards from the New Hampshire Bar Association, Associated Press, and the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters. The City of Laconia and the Town of Gilford have both recognized his reporting with community achievement awards.
