Seventies singer and songwriter Al Green was the definitive smoooth soul artist of the decade with hits like "Tired of Being Alone", "I'm Still In Love With You", and 1971's chart-topping "Let's Stay Together". After a 20+ year career in pop music, Green returned to his gospel roots in 1980.

This blue-eyed-soul rock quartet formed as "The Young Rascals" in New York City in 1964. They enjoyed a string of chart hits, including Billboard #1 songs "Good Lovin", "People Got To Be Free", and "Groovin': The original Rascals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

This duo specialized in a fusion of rock & roll and rhythm & blues styles which they dubbed "Rock and Soul." They're best known for their six #1 hits on Billboard's Hot 100 charts: "Rich Girl", "Kiss On My List", "Private Eyes", "I Can't Go For That", "Man Eater" and "Out Of Touch".
