Q: What player do I need to listen to the live stream?
Windows users will need Adobe's Flash Player (version 10.1 or newer) in order to listen. The "Listen Live" button found at the top of the page will open our streaming audio player in a new browser window. You may need to disable popup blockers for the player to load. If you continue to have problems, please be sure that you have the most recent version of Flash installed for your browser.
Q: Can I listen to AM 1350 with a mobile device?
Yes! Listeners with iPod/iPhone/iPad devices can use the TuneIn.com tuner here. TuneIn apps are also available for Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone users along with many other platforms.
Q: Sometimes I hear silence or a different show. What's wrong?
Due to contractual agreements and licensing limitations, certain programs (such as the Kim Komando Show) that are broadcast over the air by WEZS are prohibited from being streamed online. These programs are required to be "blacked-out" online, so the stream may be silent or may carry different programming at the time those shows air. Please check our program schedule for other shows that interest you, and try again later.
Q: Was it a random glitch?
Given the complex nature of the internet, it's not unusual for short-lived problems to appear in the system. The new Flash audio player will automatically attempt to reconnect in the event of a network problem, but your player stops suddenly and fails to reconnect, close the player window and try connecting again in a minute or two.
If you continue to have trouble, it could be your internet connection, or there may be a server or extended network problem. You may want to try connecting to other streaming media sites. If other sites work correctly but you still can't get our stream, please send us an email to let us know about the problem.
Q: Is my internet connection fast enough?
If you have a slow modem (28.8 or older) you will likely have trouble connecting to our stream. If you have a faster connection (DSL, cable modem, ISDN, full T-1, LAN, etc.), then the stream quality will depend on how busy the network is.
Q: Is my computer fast enough?
If you have lots of other programs open, or very powerful programs, they may be using too much processor time and/or memory for the player to work properly. First, try closing programs you're not actively using and try connecting again. If your computer is very old, it might be too slow to play the stream regardless of what else it’s doing.
Q: I'm running a software firewall, could that be causing problems?
If you are running a software firewall such as ZoneAlarm, Norton or another, you may need to specifically add (white list) www.wezs.com to your list of trusted sites.
Q: What player do I need to listen to archived shows?
Any media player that plays MP3s will work, including Windows Media Player. There are also many free alternative players available online for download. Here are links to download some of the most commonly used players:
